MUNO BATTERY: UPDATED SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY
 

1. SHIPPING ZONES & TOTAL LANDED COSTS

Muno uses a tiered shipping structure. Total Landed Cost = (Base Rate × Fuel Surcharge) + Packaging + Area Surcharge (if applicable).
 

 

Zone 3/Regional Note: Outlying areas attract an additional Area Surcharge (see Section 2).

2. MANDATORY AREA SURCHARGES

Specific delivery locations require specialised handling or travel off-route. These are added to the Total Est. Cost above:

  • Remote/Farm/Mine Delivery: +R300.00 (Standard for non-urban industrial sites).

  • High-Risk/Township Zones: +R60.00 (Specific high-security delivery protocols).

  • Special Interest (Power Stations/Embassies): +R480.00 (Due to security clearance wait times).

  • Chain Store/Warehouse DC: +R350.00 (For booking-in fees and long turnarounds).
     

3. HAZARDOUS GOODS & COMPLIANCE (UN 3551)

Muno Sodium-ion batteries are classified as UN 3551.

  • Safety Standard: All shipments comply with IATA/SANS 10228.

  • State of Charge (SoC): Batteries are shipped at 30% SoC. Upon delivery, customers must follow the 5/15 Recovery Rule (Idle 5 mins, Drive 15 mins) to calibrate the BMS.
     

4. FREE SHIPPING ELIGIBILITY

  • Threshold: Orders over R9,500.00 qualify for free shipping.

  • Limitation: This applies only to Zone 1 and Zone 2 (Main Centres).

  • Regional/Surcharge Exclusion: For Zone 3 or specialised area surcharges (Mines, Farms, etc.), the base shipping is free, but the Area Surcharge remains payable by the customer.
     

5. COLLECTION POLICY

  • Broadacres Pickup: Free collection is available from our Broadacres facility.

  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 16:00.

  • Verification: Customers must present their order confirmation and a valid ID fo Company Registration Document.
